Doctor’s, Hospital, Movies, Sleepover

On Monday I moved to a new doctor, who immediately referred me and my icky knee to hospital for an xray.

I went in on friday morning, and rested for the remainder of the day and twas rather painful.

In the evening I went to GiggleBuddy’s house for her birthday party with some other coolsome peeps. We saw My Best Friend’s Girl, twas good, starring our beloved (ahem) Dane Cook.

Then we had a sleepover, with cake/ champagne/ makeovers/ more movies. The whole shebang, really.
Twas cool :)

Now I’m at home, doing homework.
Hope you all had good weekends!
Ciao!

Smithy Halloween Party!

ciao bambini!
Happy Birthday Frank Iero, and HAPPY HALLOWE’EN! To the rest of you!
At last, my favourite day of the year has arrived! Even if my skirt didnt and I had to make one… Anywho, that aside, Twas great!

I went as Helena, in a black corset with red tutu and black skirt, adorned with red ribbons and a couple of roses, I had my hair curly and big red eyeshadow, and little black ballet pumps (until it got too cold and I put on my black deathshead moth wellies). I think I looked quite convincing. Well… I had Milnerd’s approval, so that counts for something.

The party was amazing! There was a bouncy castle, a bouncy slide and an inflatable gladiators thing… Plus a chocolate fountain and a cherryade fountain! Sooo awsome.

Then we had a sleepover, Twas coolio, and in the morning we went into the garden with the dogs and I took photos of eveyone on the bouncy castle.

When I got home, I made Happy Birthday Frank Iero cupcakes. They were awsome!

ahhhh… I love hallowe’en (:
hope you had a good one too!
ciao bambini!

Duuuuke of Edinburgh!

10th Sept- MIKEY WAY DAY! Wore my Mikey hair and glasses, celebrated etc.

13th/14th Sept! DofE! AAAgh!
Day One went really well, no major mistakes, only one case of me walking through a bog in the middle of the footpath, until disaster struck! We were just a few Km from the campsite when we see the Fuzzy Teacakes in front of us and the Chemical Crew behind us, then realise we don’t actually know where we are. So there’s 20 of us stood in a random field screaming, shouting, crying and arguing until we just go back to the road and walk down it. At least we got back… then put up the tent, no rain but lots of mud, ate food in the dark, went to bed. I slept, but Animalmad didn’t… I talked all night, apparently. Sorry, bambina.
Day Two got off to a good start again, and we made good time too, next to no incidents whatsoever. I mean, I did have to dig Animalmad’s boot out of mud as deep as my arm, but other than that… we finished first! Ate ice cream, hung out, (barefoot. naturally… my boots were steaming.) and then went home.

School today was so hard, it was unbelievable… I was, to quote the great FOB, dead on arrival. I could barely keep my eyes open. In fact, at one point I was actually absoloutely fine, laughing away, and then my eyes were suddenly crying and wouldn’t stop! For no reason! It was rather embarassing… Sorry 3/4 moon. Also, my feet and my knee canes. I have a ruptured ligament. :S

Anywho, nothing a good night’s sleep won’t fix! It’s a full moon. Ciao bam… *SNORES*

It’s amazing what you can do…

When you really put your head down and focus on something.

Today, I went out because on to the cold and slightly wet school field quite willingly because I’d signed up for the Sport Relief Mile to raise money for charity. We had the option of doing 1, 2 or 3 miles- or more if we could manage, but it was kind of expected that no-one would do 3, let alone 4+, but we were allowed as long as we weren’t late for lessons (we did it in our lunch break).

I’m not in the slightest bit athletic, so I decided I’d walk the mile then see if I could manage two because I doubted I’d have any energy (I skipped having lunch, for the sake of the poor children out there who don’t get lunch ever). However, as I got started with Blondie and NewAgePunk, it seemed that everyone was running it, which made us look a bit sad walking it, so we sped up to a jog. After one lap I realised not warming up was very stupid of me as I’d only done 1/3rd of a mile and was starting to get a stitch. However, I pressed on.

After my second lap, I noticed JL was on his own so I caught up with him, and must admit left Blondie and NAP. He didn’t have his inhaler thingy so was feeling a bit breathless, so I stayed with him. This is good because he is sporty and did I mention I’m not? But anyway, I managed to keep up with him (or rather, every time I attempted to slow down he egged me on, so a great big thank- you to him).

So I did the mile and chose to do the second. After I was about 1/2 way through said second mile, I couldn’t keep up with him and I ran the last of the two miles on my own. And I was going to stop: My body was hurting, I’d not had food, I’d forgotten my drink, and then I crossed the two mile finish line. And all at once, thoughts flooded my head:
Children half my age walk twice this far every day just to get a bucketful of water.
A wolf can run three miles non- stop.
Children half my age walk twice this far every day just to get a bucketful of water.
I am not quite suffering from exhaustion.
Children half my age walk twice this far every day just to get a bucketful of water.
And I made a split second descicion: I was going to carry on. And I did, I ran another whole mile without slowing down once. I didn’t catch up with JL. I didn’t run with anyone else. It was far, far, far from easy and each step I took I wanted to swear and scream and moan with pain. But I didn’t let myself, and I DID IT! I can’t tell you how good it felt to cross that finish line. To know I was going to make just that little bit of difference to someone’s life made me feel so good, I almost felt like I could do it all over again. Almost- but not quite. And then I collapsed on the grass and growled softly. Do you know why? Because I truly felt like a wolf.

A mighty, powerful, lone she- wolf.

Same old, same old…

Nothing in particular has happened to me this week, which is why I have not been updating you. Golden has gone to Alicante… lucky thing, although it is most definitely skiving. She’s meant to be back tommorrow. We are doing a ‘Secret Bunny’- like a secret santa but with easter eggs instead of christmas presents. Blondie is buying for me, so it’s not really secret at all, especially as she has told me what she’s going to get me: A Lindt bunny. (Subtle hint at my wolf-like-ness.)

Anyway, I am buying for NAP. No Snickers. Who likes snickers anyway?
While I leave you to ponder this, I will discreetly sign off without you noticing… Clever, eh? Ciao, bambini.

They think it’s all over…

Well, that’s cause it is!

Sorry I’ve not posted for a couple of days, but you probably don’t care anyway and I have been very busy with the school production- The Thwarting of Baron Bolligrew.

First day was alright, wasn’t brilliant but very funny all the same. 3/4 was thrown off sound and lighting crew as he broke a prop. Woops. The best bit of ad lib-ing, in my opinion, went a bit like this:
(Court scene where Bolligrew’s right- hand man, Squire Blackheart, does not turn up to take his place as magistrate so new magistrate, a man- at- arms is appointed.)
JL (Baron Bolligrew): … I’ll appoint another magistrate. Coporal, you’re a Magistrate! Siddown.
AW (Man at arms), does not notice he’s been given his cue and remains standing.
Long pause. As in, VERY long pause.
CJ (Oblong (hero)): So… Baron… How are you today?
One of those you-had-to-be-there things maybe, but even the cast laughed.

Second night better, but it’s a long play and hard work to remember all those lines, so a few prompts were needed but went well nonetheless. More ad lib-ing, went a little like:
Oblong tells of how he beat Squire Blackheart in combat as the Squire tried to steal some eggs from a peasant
CJ (Oblong): Yes, he left behind a… tangible piece of evidence. (realises he has forgotten said piece of evidence)… which I seem to have left at home today…
JL (Bolligrew): Oh yes?
(Stage crew pass forward Blackheart’s plume, aka the evidence)
CJ: Ah yes, here it is. It was in my back pocket all along- I was just sitting in the wrong position, you see…

After the play, I went home with Golden, had a sleepover, woke up, went shopping in Stratty with Golden, NAP and Blondie where we went to the magic museum, which was random, came home with Golden again, and then went to the final performance, which went pretty much perfectly, and GiggleBuddy was away so I got her lines (yay). Oh, and it was the day my parents came to watch so all was good in the neighbourhood… as NAP would say…

Comunque, ben fatto per tutti i sogetti coinvolti e ciao, bambini!

C- Day

Short for Clitherow day, because it is a whole year since I moved forms. We celebrated by having a cracker eating practice. Blondie wrote me a wonderful poem which goes a little like this:

One year ago this week
A new form to join you seeked,
Now which one should I choose?
Did you quietly muse,
I’m leaving Fisher house
As quietly as a mouse,

And Becket I think, I might choose
But in competitions they always lose!
So Moore I suppose it may turn out to be
But they’re tall, I’m small and could not possibly see!

So Clitherow is the only one left
This, you thought, must be the best
I’m afraid that you were right
You chose wisely in your plight

And now you are having a great time
So I guess this is the end to my very terry rhyme!

Well done, Blondie. You are clearly a great literate in the making.
Are you in any way related to Shakespeare?
Should we now call you Shakespearette?
Could you be the next big thing in poetry?
Will Danny ever give me my tennis ball back?

Tune in next week to find out the answer to these questions!
A short preview: the answer is no.

Movie marathon!

Happy Birthday Blondie! Although it’s not today, she had her party today. We went shopping in la Stratty, I didn’t buy anything – no,  I did actually, some strawberry sweet thingies – and then we went back to hers for a sleepover. We watched a couple of films (Flight Plan, Freaky Friday, Picnic at hanging rock) which I would tell you about but I’m not very good at film reviews. GiggleBuddy is though, check out her blog missyoaky.wordpress.com. Anyway, it was good fun. I managed not to attract any (serious) chav attention… my skills are dulled in Stratford due to a mixture of less chavs and more tourists. But still. Ciao, bambini.

The one and only Loupina: Chavminator.

Oh, I forgot to mention, and I think you’ll be interested to know that I’ve been living up to my title: honeypot to the chavflies, or alternatively chavmagnet. I prefer honeypot, however, as chavmagnet implies that the chavs like me.

Anyway, I was in Touchwood with Blondie and Golden when some 18 year old looking tall fat male chavs step off the escalators. As we are kind of celebrating Clitherow, Golden decided we should all wear something yellow, so Blondie was wearing a SpongeBob top and I was wearing the closest possible match I could find – a pair of green skinny jeans. (My wardrobe is mainly monochrome). So these ‘lads’ step off the escalators and obviously think they are the kings of cool, guffawing and being loud and obnoxious. They decide they are Britains next best comediens and immensly funny so, feeling arrogant, they stride up behind us and start shouting, ‘Haw, haw, I love spongebob!’ and ‘Tee hee, bogey jeans’, et cetera. At this point Blondie turns the brightest shade of red I have ever seen. Now if there’s one thing I can take ‘like a man’, so to speak, it is these people insulting me. But when they embarass my friends, they have crossed the line. I am like a wolf over her cubs when it comes to my friends. Except I would never kill my friends if I thought they might get eaten… anyway. So I turn round to this boy (have I mentioned that without my school shoes I am not particularly tall?) who is twice my height and probably bodyweight and say,

‘Haw haw haw. You’re soo original mate. How did you get to be so funny? Haw haw haw.’ Then mouth to his equally tall friend, ‘Nice trackies, hypocrite.’ Not that he’d know what that meant. Upon which abashed looking first young man looks me in the eye, clenches his fists, turns an angry shade of purple, opens and closes his big mouth, tries to find something to say, goes very very very pink, shuts his gob, and shuffles off, much to his mates’ embarrassment. So depending on how you look at it, I either did something very clever or very stupid.

But remember folks, don’t try this at home. Or out on the streets. Cause you know what they say:- never argue with a dumb person. They bring you down to their level, then beat you with experience. Unless of course, you are the one and only Loupina.

Wolfy-wormy. Lovey- dovey. Photo… Moto?

Well hello there, long time no see, eh?So, I’ve not been updating you recently as I have had my iPod confiscated, the computer is broken and my mum’s laptop is much in demand. This means you are very lucky people, and I only have to give you a brief update on my past week. Not too much has been happening, we broke up from school on Friday for a much needed break.

Saturday and Sunday not overly productive, I’m sure a lot of good/ cool/ funny stuff happened but not significant for me to remember any of it worth writing about. But, on Monday (10th) we had a photo shoot type thing because my Mum wants a proper photo of us to put in an album… or something. Anyway, we had a guy in who was really nice and he came back today (Friday) to show us the phtos so we could choose which ones to print. I guess I’d better mention his site- nathanallenphotography.co.uk.

Anyway, I went to Golden’s house with Blondie for a sleepover on tuesday (12th) and went shopping/ saw “Over her Dead body”. It was good – I mean, I’m not normally inclined to watch chick-flicks but what the heck – and it was funny so that was okay. I bought myself a book, BITTEN by Kelley Armstrong, which I may or may not review at a later point, but it is so far proving to be good- werewolf horror story. Did you expect any different? Anyway, we went back and did normal sleepover stuff, etc., etc. and also managed to celebrate my almost-a-year-since-I-moved-to-Clitherow-anniversary. So I went home the next day and was pretty tired so didn’t really get up to much.

But wednesday was, as you will know, O most despiséd of days… St. Valentine’s. Lets just say mine haven’t been too lucky so far, and without wanting to lecture you, I will say fractured arm/ stolen chocolate/ lazy ignoramuses. Anyway, my seven year old sister recieved three cards. She sent one to her hamster. I bought myself some fruit pips from the sweet shop and started on a meerkat sketch, which isn’t going very well at all. But anywho. Friday has been good- after using most of the day looking at the photos, I found a box of my books from when we moved three years ago, had fish and chips, ran a bath and wrote this.I’ll update you again soon (hopefully), as I’m off to Blondie’s for a sleepover tomorrow, which means I’d best get some sleep. Well, I would read my book but I finished it this morning. Hmm, I’ll have to get one out of the library when we get back to school. I must admit, my worst habit is probably reading books too fast. I know that sounds silly but any other even slight bookworms will understand me. Hey! I’m not a lowly worm, I am a mighty Timber Wolf! Um, anyway, were was I? Oh yeah, signing off. Ciao, bambini…
