Doctor’s, Hospital, Movies, Sleepover

On Monday I moved to a new doctor, who immediately referred me and my icky knee to hospital for an xray.

I went in on friday morning, and rested for the remainder of the day and twas rather painful.

In the evening I went to GiggleBuddy’s house for her birthday party with some other coolsome peeps. We saw My Best Friend’s Girl, twas good, starring our beloved (ahem) Dane Cook.

Then we had a sleepover, with cake/ champagne/ makeovers/ more movies. The whole shebang, really.
Twas cool :)

Now I’m at home, doing homework.
Hope you all had good weekends!
Ciao!

Duuuuke of Edinburgh!

10th Sept- MIKEY WAY DAY! Wore my Mikey hair and glasses, celebrated etc.

13th/14th Sept! DofE! AAAgh!
Day One went really well, no major mistakes, only one case of me walking through a bog in the middle of the footpath, until disaster struck! We were just a few Km from the campsite when we see the Fuzzy Teacakes in front of us and the Chemical Crew behind us, then realise we don’t actually know where we are. So there’s 20 of us stood in a random field screaming, shouting, crying and arguing until we just go back to the road and walk down it. At least we got back… then put up the tent, no rain but lots of mud, ate food in the dark, went to bed. I slept, but Animalmad didn’t… I talked all night, apparently. Sorry, bambina.
Day Two got off to a good start again, and we made good time too, next to no incidents whatsoever. I mean, I did have to dig Animalmad’s boot out of mud as deep as my arm, but other than that… we finished first! Ate ice cream, hung out, (barefoot. naturally… my boots were steaming.) and then went home.

School today was so hard, it was unbelievable… I was, to quote the great FOB, dead on arrival. I could barely keep my eyes open. In fact, at one point I was actually absoloutely fine, laughing away, and then my eyes were suddenly crying and wouldn’t stop! For no reason! It was rather embarassing… Sorry 3/4 moon. Also, my feet and my knee canes. I have a ruptured ligament. :S

Anywho, nothing a good night’s sleep won’t fix! It’s a full moon. Ciao bam… *SNORES*

J’adore le Stratty.

So today I got up at 6:45, even though it was my holiday, so that I could leave the house at 7:45 to get to Studders in time for the bus, which I caught caught with GiggleBuddy, IE-not-Y and Bazzerina. We then met up with NewAgePunk and went to get lunch.

I don’t think I have mentioned this before but in Stratford there is a little baguette shop, and the food is nice but the lad who works there is even nicer. There should be a sign in the window saying hot and yummy- and we’re not even talking about the food! Ah yes. Anyway, he wasn’t there today (boo) so we went to pizza hut instead, which was good as it was delish and only came to a fiver each.

Anyway, IE-not-Y and GiggleBuddy bought some clothes and last we went to Naquiba, (NAP, Bazzerina and my fave shop), and I saw the most gorgeous dress. I’m not really a dress person, but this was the Blacklist My Chem dress and it was half price and the last one and I LOVED IT. And at £20 instead of £40, it as a snatch. But I only had £25 left. We went to McNasty’s where we saw 3/4 moon and TheChemicalCrew, so called, and whilst my friends ate their ice creams I was in a daze, mulling over whether or not to buy said dress (the very nice shop assistant said she’d hold it till the end of the day for me), and it was going on 3:30. My conclusion: Life is short, I’d only been saving so I could buy another outfit, my friends and Mum (lol) had said I should buy it and most importantly I LOVED IT I LOVED IT I LOVED IT!

I was on a high for the rest of the day. I’m wearing it now. It looks like this.

Ennit bootifull, eh?
Ciao, bambini.

Same old, same old…

Nothing in particular has happened to me this week, which is why I have not been updating you. Golden has gone to Alicante… lucky thing, although it is most definitely skiving. She’s meant to be back tommorrow. We are doing a ‘Secret Bunny’- like a secret santa but with easter eggs instead of christmas presents. Blondie is buying for me, so it’s not really secret at all, especially as she has told me what she’s going to get me: A Lindt bunny. (Subtle hint at my wolf-like-ness.)

Anyway, I am buying for NAP. No Snickers. Who likes snickers anyway?
While I leave you to ponder this, I will discreetly sign off without you noticing… Clever, eh? Ciao, bambini.

General Knowledge does not pay off.

Sometimes I wonder why they bother.

We went on a trip to the RICOH arena, for a ‘careers day’, basically a load of people representing colleges and jobs and giving demonstrations. I had my eyebrows threaded by some beauty college and a scar ‘painted’ on my wrist (it was actually more wax and fake blood) by a make up art university. Or something. Both of which are totally irrelevant to my career as either vet or wildlife research journalist. But it costs a bomb to get your eyebrows threaded (not that I can see much difference), and the scar was very realistic/ gory, which is cool.

Actually, there was one stall relevant to me, Lantra or something, but I didn’t get to ask many questions as I sort of got off on the wrong foot with the woman:
Me: Oh wow! Are they bearded dragons? (signals toward display with said lizards)
Lantra Lady (obviously outraged at my prior knowledge… for some reason. Who knows?: Yeah. … **bovvered look**
Me: Oh… sweet. Yeah, it’s just I err… know them. Why is that one all flattened out?
LL: It’s just fat.
Me: (with nervous laugh), Oh, so not any, y’know, strange adaptation then? Ha…
LL: Hm.
Me: So, what kind of jobs are there at Lantra?
LL: Here. hands me a leaflet
Me; Oh… thanks! smiles widely but politely to unsuccesfully instir feelings of guilt

So, in all, a not particularly constructive day but I got lots of freebies! **yess**Well, you cannae say better’n that, cap’n. Ciao, bambini•

I’m the best damn cymbalist you’ll ever meet.

Our Tempest performance didn’t go too badly, we got some pretty good kinesics in there (lol).

Speaking of acting, I had Bolligrew rehearsals after school, which always prove to be… entertaining. I wore my peasant outfit, ate a creme egg and some Doritos, and danced down the school corridors followed by a cloud of smoke.

BUILDING MATERIALS!
(that’s my line).

Ciao bambini.

Am I Going Crackers?

I’m doing this update for Tuesday 5th seen as my Internet went all wierd last night, so you may be unfortunate enough to get another one later today.

Well, for exam week, things aren’t going too badly. Except for the exams. But we don’t get any homework and have quite a few revision sessions. This is okay because I spent mine writing a letter to Co- pilot, my friend from guides/ primary school.

Did you know, the world record for the fastest time to eat ONE cracker is something like 32 seconds? How crazy is that? But my friends and I thought we’d best give it a try. My record was 53 seconds. Bazzerina got 42, but she did break it up into little pieces first. Ravette got 45. It’s a lot harder than you’d think.

Anyway, gotta dash, am getting ready for *l’ecole*! Keep it cool, dudes. And dudettes. And not dudes. And not dudettes.

Being a contemporary rocker is very hard work.

This morning we got to see the afore mentioned dreaded lunch card photos. Oh dear. I look well, pretty awful to say the least! Ah well. I’ve only got to put up with it for another two and a half years. hmmm… But I wish they’d have been today, as apparently my hair looks nice today. In fact, several people asked me if I’ve dyed it- which I haven’t! Apparently it looked blonde at the front this morning, so I must have had a trip from the hair dye fairy last night, and I’m not sure if that’s good or bad, but still. Also, I had to explain the finer points of my ’style’ today. I’m NOT emo. No one seems to understand that I’m a nu goth/ contemporary rocker! tsskk! If the good lord Gerard Way says MCR aren’t emo, they’re not, OK? So all this came about in *la musique* today Mr. P just let us revise for our exams next week. Ahem. So I was doing some art prep, ie doodling elephants, when he asked us if we wanted some music on, which we did. But he only had rubbish music so KP pipes up, ’sir, can we just listen to our own music on our iPods?’ much to the rest of the classes amazement. If you didn’t know already, our school is very strict on iPods/ mp3s/ phones etc. and they are all strictly forbidden. So we were even more amazed when Mr. P says, ‘Yeah, sure… Why not?’ So we spent the whole lesson checking out each others phones and listening to music. As Bazzerina would say, Coolio!
