Gerard- “When I was writing [the album], I was remembering how hard it was to be a 16-year-old in high school… I was this loner kid… swimming in this pit of despair, jealousy and alcoholism.”
Ray- “I once tried to impress a girl by sticking a piece of Runts Candy up my nose to look like a booger but it got stuck up there and I had to go to the nurse to get it out.”
Gerard- “I was a very angry 15 year old… I was the kid at the back of the class wearing black.”
