Gerard- “In the UK… they’re wasted! 2pm? Wasted!… but extremely enthusiastic, really pure… In Manchester, was probably the best moment of my life, it was extremely exciting.”
Ray- “Our fans are very creative. Whenever we meet them, they give us pictures they’ve drawn or stories they’ve written. I think it’s just another form of expression.”
Mikey- “When we’re out of NJ, Chicago and the UK have always got our backs.”
Gerard- “There’s something very raw about the audiences in the UK.”
Frank- “I can’t imagine any bands having better kids than ours, and if they do I know that at least our kids can beat up their kids.”
Gerard- “If for one minute you think you’re better than a [teenage girl wearing your favorite bands'] t-shirt, you are sorely mistaken. Remember the first time you went to a show and saw your favorite band. You wore their shirt, and sang every word. You didn’t know anything about scene politics, haircuts, or what was cool. All you knew was that this music made you feel different from anyone you shared a locker with. Someone finally understood you. This is what music is about.”

Inteviewer: Do you guys… have a message you want kids to know about, anything like that?
Frank: Man, we’re here to save kids’ lives.
Interviewer: What are you doing to save kids’ lives?
Gerard: Bringing a message.
{Frank laughs. Lots.}
Interviewer: The message being… save kids lives?
